Early Supports
Children under 7 don’t need a diagnosis to get early intervention support from the NDIS.
Your child can get funding & support without becoming an NDIS participant. The NDIS approach to early intervention gives children younger than 7 years with disability or developmental delay quick access to support. Children who get early intervention might not need long-term support.
If your child qualifies, children under 7 with developmental concerns get fast-tracked access to support that’s tailored to their individual needs, like eating, dressing, going to the toilet and so on. This funded support is also for your family to learn how to develop your child’s skills at home and in daily life, pending NDIS independent assessment & eligibility.
